For simplicity%26#039;s sake I will state them here.

Step 1: find a good school and teacher

Step 2: repeat step one

Step 3: repeat step two

Step 4: repeat step three.

A teacher is there to correct you when you screw up. And especially with kung fu because 99.9% of all cma teachers are crap. What you will find on the internet as far as learning from a book is 100% crap. forms do not teach you how to fight. Forms do not teach you how to apply them against a real live and fully resisting opponent.

A teacher%26#039;s job is to correct you and show you how to properly apply techniques in a combat situation. Stop fooling yourself and find a good teacher.|||There are some books for specifics like Wu Shu Broadsword or something like that. Wu shu is like kung fu,except it is more performance based. Ignore what people say about learning from a book,I tend to ignore my own instructors and look up things on the net. Good luck.|||this has got to be one of the daftest questions ever. the primary problem here is you ,why cant you go to a local kungfu club and learn from an experienced and skilled teacher . There are several reasons why it is advisable not to train off diagrams and video,s. No1 . No one to correct your training, give you advise, guide you at every step[ fellow students]. who is going to be your partner ,you definitely need one , on and on , just a bad idea. My advise join a good club. Luck Terry|||You want to learn kung fu from a drawing???
